  N >

Yesterday it was the great day of the exam, and this is our project.
It's a thermal complex in Milan, though to be a new attractive pole for the Porta Nuova area, dealing with the ancient Navigli System actually covered by the steets (but until 1930 completely opened).
We did well, in the end, after a long work together.

Special Thanks, as usual, to my friends and mates in this work:

Silvia Giabbanelli
Sara Rizzetti

NYC High Line

I promised and now.. here we are, guys!

This is maybe the most interesting project I've seen in NYC, and even if it's not that new, I present it to youfrom a turistic point of view, but with the eye of the architect. Then, since I'm also fond of photography, I've tried to take the best pictures I could, to share with you something not boring.
Ok ok a lot of words...now the stuff:
  [click, click, click here!]

Just keep in mind, even if you are not interested in this kind of things (I mean: architectures, landscape design, bla bla bla...) that NYC is not only Hot Dogs and Shopping...

Enjoy!

MILANO - what's next?

Here another "mistery" to be solved before the end of September...

What if Milan could have a new thermal building, just close to Garibaldi Station?
What if four students are working on it since 2009?
What if we are really curious to know if our Professor DO really appreciate our ideas??

Let's see... Que serĂ , serĂ ...

Serio River Fluvial Park

This is the main configuratione: a long fluvial park with a central path going north-south, with three main spot areas.
The project fronts the impact of a new motorway (Bre.Be.Mi) on a rural area in the Pianura Padana, along the Serio River.

Schemes showing the features of the land

The table of the floodable area, with details, views (by S. Gatti) and the botanical aspect.

The schematic section of the different levels of the floodable area

Details of the boundaries of the floodable area.

Table of the birdwatching area, along the river, with special platform made of gabions and concrete (views by S. Gatti).

Table of the southest part, with entrance and fish club small building (views by S. Gatti).

Last table of the exam, showing the crossing of the peatonal path and the motorway Bre.Be.Mi (work in progress) and some technical drawings of the lighting system.
The main idea is to close an area just under the motorway bridge and left the nature growing spontaneously, according G. Clement theories.

Let's help Minami Sanriku!

Dear friends,

this is a little contribution-help I gave to the Centro Culturale Giapponese of Milan.
They are sponsoring a fund-raising together with other partners, to build a new kindergarten for Minami Sanriku, a place in the Prefecture of Miyagi, totally destroyed by the Tsunami.

They asked me to prepare a draft project with some images to help this raising, and this his the result.
Actually, also hoping you will enjoy the project, I would be very grateful if you could help us in this mission. Minami Sanriku really needs our help!

The main reference is http://www.centrodiculturagiapponese.org/eventi.html , where you will find all the details and contacts.
I'm putting here the pages of the brochure with the project.
Thank you!

[ the brochure is in Italian, both with the site, but if you need information about it in English, just ask for it ]
